Today I am gonna share my favorite, easy, quick & beginner-friendly Chicken Shashlik recipe (Chicken Spanish). Although, it's an Indo-Chinese recipe, trust me, this recipe is worth tasting and sharing, and I really love it! While there are two versions of Chicken Shashlik, gravy, and skewer version, here I am gonna share the skewer version. Remember, I said beginner friendly. Yes, any beginner can make it without any glitches.

What is Chicken Shashlik

Chicken shashlik is an Indo-Chinese recipe that is made with boneless chicken, bell peppers, and onions. This is a sweet and savory recipe, that is perfectly made with ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. But remember, no yogurt is involved in the marination. This is a quick and perfect, light weeknight meal, that's going to become your kid's favorite.

Chicken Shashlik Recipe Ingredients

Boneless chicken cubes                             1 kg
Mustard paste                                             1 1/2 teaspoon
Salt                                                                 According to taste
Pepper Powder                                            According to taste
Worcestershire sauce                                 2 tablespoon
Onion                                                             4
Bell Pepper                                                   4
Tomato                                                          4
        

How To Make Chicken Shashlik Recipe

1. Marinade chicken cubes with salt, pepper powder, mustard, Worcestershire sauce. Put in refrigerator for 2 hours.
2. Cut onion, tomatoes, and bell peppers into cubes.
3. Skewer chicken cubes and above vegetables on skewers.
4. Grill on a hot plate or griller.
5. Serve.

Serving Suggestions

1. For me, it's a perfect side dish with simple Sichuan sauce.
2. You can pair it with plain or fried rice.
3. Garlic-fried noodles are another good option.
4. Green salad or prawn crackers also pair well with it.

Tips For Perfect Chicken Shashlik

1. Marinate it for only 2 hours, as Worcestershire sauce is enough in this recipe, and no need for a long marination time.
2. Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes before using them, as it will prevent them from burning while grilling.
3. Take small chicken cubes, as larger cubes consume more time to cook, and the taste is a bit different.
